Windows Server 2016 New Features
1- Windows Server 2016 is released in date 12 October 2016
2- Windows Server 2016 comes in two edition, its window server 2016 server core and window server 2016 server desktop.
3- Windows Server 2016 will also feature built-in support for containers and come with commercial support for the Docker Engine

New Feature of Windows Server 2016 :-
1- Nano Server: Its is only supports 64-bit applications. Nano Server is possible use in private clouds and data centers.
2- Shielded Virtual Machines: Shielded mode supporting disk encryption, Live Migration traffic encryption. Shielded VMs are only deployed from template disks that match known healthy ones.
3- PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC) in Windows Management Framework 5: Windows Management Framework 5 includes updates to Windows PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC), Windows Remote Management (WinRM), and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). Desired State Configuration (DSC) is an essential part of the configuration, management and maintenance of Windows-based servers
4- Containers: It will be support for containers. It will provide two kinds of native containers
A- Windows Server Containers: Windows Server Containers are isolated from each other but they run directly on the Windows OS
B- Hyper-V Containers: Hyper-V Containers provide enhanced isolation by running the containers from a Hyper-V VM
5- Docker Support: Docker is an open-source engine that’s used for building, running and managing containers. Windows Server will provide built-in support for the Docker engine as well. You can use Docker to manage Windows Server and Hyper-V Containers.
6- Rolling upgrades for Hyper-V and Storage clusters: Cluster OS Rolling Upgrade enables an administrator to upgrade the operating system of the cluster nodes without stopping the Hyper-V.
7- Hot add & remove of virtual memory network adapters: you can ability to add and remove virtual memory and virtual network adapters while the virtual machine is running
8- Nested virtualization: it is supported Nested virtualization. You can run Hyper-V within a Hyper-V virtual machine.
9- Linux Secure Boot: Hyper-V is the ability to enable secure boot for VMs with Linux guest operating systems.
